One thing that I’m learning as an up-and-coming blogger is that it’s sometimes difficult to really figure out what you want to write about every day. From reading a number of blogs about blogging, I’ve learned that setting up an editorial calendar is the way to go to ensure that I always have material ready to post each day.

So, I’m spending my early evening backing up data from my work laptop and getting it ready to send in for upgrades and security enhancements. As I’m working, I’m wondering “How in the heck am I going to get anything done with no laptop?”
My job requires me to enter notes and other information into our centralized customer relationship management system, which can only be accessed through our corporate VPN. So, while my laptop is off getting worked on, I have no way to do any of these required tasks.

I’m currently doing some market research on a possible new niche blog site that I may be launching in the next week or two. The issue that comes to mind with this concept is that to pull it off, I will have to assume the character of a fictional person and, through suspension of reality, appear to be a real person with a great deal of experience in this particular niche.
