Tools
All online business owners need to keep a tool chest full of things that can help them get an edge when it comes to making money online. The tools listed below are all ones that can help you with statistics, ranks, search engine optimization, and more. If you find something that isn’t listed below, please let me know through the Contact page.
- Alexa Site Rankings - While Alexa’s site rankings are not the most important tool out there, this site is a quick way to get some high level information about your blog or web site. You can see traffic estimates and how your site ranks against others on the web.
- MarketLeap Search Engine Marketing Tools - MarketLeap is a tool that I use very often. You can see your search engine placement for various keywords, link popularity (Backlinks), and search engine saturation.
- Google WebMaster Tools - Simply insert your url, verify that you own the domain, and see a variety of reports of how your site is indexed by Google. You can also provide Google with sitemaps, change your crawl rate, and more.
- Technorati - Where Alexa provides general ranking information for all web sites, Technorati is a specialized ranking just for blogs. You can see where your blog ranks compared to others and also find out when your blog was last updated and how many links are coming in.
